Warm welcome for Vieira as Gunners warm up v Juventus

Patrick Vieira received a warm reception on his return to Highbury as Arsenal took on Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.The former Gunners captain, who left north London last summer, was applauded by home fans in the warm-up and lined up alongside Emerson in an experienced midfield for the Serie A champions.Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu also started, but Pavel Nedved’s suspension kept him out while Alessandro Del Piero was sidelined by a thigh injury.Jose Reyes returned for Arsenal after missing three games through injury, but Freddie Ljungberg was not fit.Robin van Persie was back on the bench again after making his comeback against Charlton on Arsenal’s last outing.Arsenal: Lehmann, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Flamini, Hleb, Silva, Fabregas, Pires, Henry, Reyes.
